Roseville

In March, we headed to Roseville to visit Auntie Caroline and her kids.  It was my first overnight trip away from home.  My parents were nervous about how I'd handle the ride...

Lucky for them, I did great - we made it in 2.5 hours without stopping once!  And I slept the whole way.

For old time's sake, we stayed at the same hotel where my parents lived for two weeks, awaiting my arrival.  They loved checking in and saying hi to the hotel staff - with their long-awaited baby in tow.

And guess what?  I slept in a crib for the first time! No problemo.

In the morning, we all had breakfast in bed, and dad and I read the newspaper together.  I could get used to this life.

Our favorite part was revisiting the trail where mom went walking almost every day.  It was so sweet to be here all together now.  I think this may become a family tradition.

And as always, we loved seeing Caroline and her kids.  I felt so small in comparison, though not as small as the last time I was in Roseville. :)

All in all, the trip was a huge success...up until our miserable, 6 hour ride home, with bumper to bumper traffic and multiple stops to feed, change, and console me.  I can't make it TOO easy for my parents, after all - they also have some milestones to pass - like traveling long distances with me while keeping their cool!

Finally, we all quieted down and made the final leg of our trip in peace and tranquility.

They passed their milestone.

Next attempt, Lake Tahoe...then, Italy. (!)

Yours truly - Traveler G.
