A day of firsts

Trumpets please...

Today has been a day of discoveries.

First, I found out that solid food is much more interesting than the usual milk.  Yep, I officially started eating real food today. (No, not nutella, though it sure looked good.)

Next, I went swimming for the first time. Went straight in with my mom, splashing, kicking, and floating on my stomach and back.  I didn't even care when I accidentally dunked my face in the water. I loved it all!

I had a blast but, wow, I was so tired afterwards.

After my nap, I hung out poolside with my mom, dad, and nonni, and we reminisced on old times. I found out my mom used to swim here when she was young, and even had her high school graduation pool party here, as did many of her cousins.  

Then...on the ride back home, mom noticed I had a really funny smile, with a lot of drool bubbling down my chin.  Lo and behold, she discovered I had my first tooth!  

All in all, I'm very proud of myself...it's been quite a big day.
